Aladdin - Evil Palace

Jafar Evil sequence was so much fun to work on!
Environment made within ILM awesome generalist department.

Basically started from the badass palace asset my leads Stanislaw Marek and supervisor Daniel Schmid prepared and had to bring an evil touch to it.

Most of the challenge relied on lighting, adapting the lookdev and set dressing to convey this nightmarish feeling we developed with Art Director.

Added red lights illuminating the interior, setup some volume light passes coming from bellow, dressed red ivy and spikes, toned down the general pink look of the palace to help bring this vision to big screen.

Setting up some dynamic lighting with light emission from ballFX and lightning helped a lot to increase the dramatic effect.

The amount of shots to deal with in this sequence was challenging for sure, but nothing you can't do without an A-team right ?
